I have several clients that had the Federal returns accepted last week. The software is supposed to change the status of the state files to created but has not done so. They are still in held status. If I go into to the file and create the state return again for e file purposes, the software still puts it in held status. What can I do? The taxpayers will not get their state refunds if the software won't let me create the state returns to e file. Please help. Software is ATX.
thanks

Mine used to do it automatically too. But recently, not so. I don't know why. But I do the above.

Thanks - Mine used to be automatic as well. I wonder if it is a software glitch.

I get 30% that change automatically. The others I have to do manually. I am e-filing 25-50 returns a day, and it is a nightmare going through each individual "held" to see if it needs to be released.
I loathe to call tech support, because I will only get canned responses and no one will truly answer the question.
Anyone found a way to make them all be automatic? Is the former employee of ATX listening?
