I created the efile and 8453 block ckecked to mail the 8949, submission number appears on 8879
and not on 8453. Only my EFIN number on the 8453, nothing in next block like it was last year.
Is this a bug, something new, anyone else have this?

Same thing here. I don't think it's a bug I think it's fine to send. They will use social's to match up to return. From what I've been noticing is that the doc control number isn't playing much
of a role these days except that it is a time stamp.

I plan on sending mine in as is.

I was of the mind that the 8453 had no use anymore, since .pdf files can be attached to MEF e-files.
