ILLMAS Posted February 1, 2017 Report Share Posted February 1, 2017 Last minute client called and gave me the amounts for the 1099 yesterday afternoon, today client called to let me know he gave me the wrong amount for one contractor and forgot to include another one. Is there a way to efile the corrected information, or will it have to be paper filed, the efile from yesterday has not been accepted yet, is there a way to cancel it? PaulH Posted February 2, 2017 Report Share Posted February 2, 2017 I don't think there is a way to cancel it, but once it has been accepted, you can efile the corrections in ATX. The program help is pretty straightforward. You have to correct the amount in the same return that you originally submitted, then when you click efile, select the corrected 1099.
