On the 540 Data tab do not check any of the boxes in the bottom section of that form where it says "filing staus as registered domestic partners check all that apply"....if you do not check any of those boxes the efile is fine.

For what it's worth: Spoke to FTB's Efile desk 1 hour ago and they have still recieved nothing from ATX... they say they are up and running and processing other efiled returns fine.
