  2. Currently, we use Office Tools. We are dropping them this year. I just received my renewal for the coming year. My renewal is 71% higher than the amount I paid to renew last year. Right now I am looking at Appointments Plus for a scheduling program. I am 99% certain that I am going to use this one. I am also looking at Time & Chaos and Timeslips.

    CP 59

I've had several clients receive CP59s over the years. At first I got a POA signed or called the IRS while the client was there. Some of the returns were efiled. The result was always the same. The IRS said that they couldn't find a copy of the return. In the case of efiled returns, the file was damaged and not readable. Please send us another copy. I no longer call the IRS when they request a copy via a CP59. I send them a signed copy with a copy of the canceled check if they owed money, a copy of the return receipt showing who signed the receipt, or a copy of the efile acceptance with a copy of the CP59. I have never had them charge any late penalties following this method.

    Union strike

I know of one instance a striking employee can collect unemployment. If some employees decide to return to work without a contract and the employer locks the employees that want to work out. This creates a lockout situation and all employees can become eligible for unemployment. It is rare but it does happen on a few occasions. My wife went on strike last year and the company locked down a location for the duration of the strike. The striking employees at that location did collect unemployment.
  5. I posted the website on the Drake software forum and Phil Drake responded that "Neither of these folks who are attempting to sell Drake Software are authorized dealers. I believe that their plan was to sell software at a discount and then make back the difference with added "Service Bureau Fees" However, we neither allow nor support this kind of thing. So do not believe these ads when you see them. We are addressing the problems with both at this time. " There was another company that has been doing direct mail to sell Drake software for around $749 Tim
