  2. I have a client come in today with a $100,000+ 1099R from her mother's (who passed away last year) retirement fund. She has decided to give 100% to her son (which is a 9y/o) for college. Her tax bill is over $10,000.00 I usually work with lower income taxpayers and hasn't had much experience with this type of return. I know there is a way to lower her tax bill with a rollover or something but I can't seem to locate the proper info to accomplish this. With this being the last day I need info right away. Any suggestions or info would be greatly appreciated
  3. I have had sooo many issues with this software this year. First the 1040 form would not open from day 1. It took 10 hours of wait time over a week for ' support' to fix it. I finished a return this morning that took one hour to complete and when I went to the IL efile info page the program froze and I lost all of the info. My client is a long timer and had to go to work so she just left her papers and told me to finish it when I can. That was not the first time that this happened this year. I am soo disappointed in this software this year. I have been using ATX for the last 9 years and was very satisfied with this product until now. Customer service is a nightmare with the press 1 debacle. Now my paperlessplus is not opening at all and it is just ruining my business.I have lost at least 10 clients because of the 1040 not opening mess. This is horrible.
  4. Ever since I updated paperplus I get an 'unexpected error' and it won't open. Customer service is a nightmare. Everytime I call them it's a more than 1 hour wait. I hang up after about 2-3 hours. During the tax season I don't have the time to stay on the phone as I am a one man operation. Anybody got any ideas?
  5. I have had 1 issue. I downloaded my software from the website because I ordered late (01/18/13). I could not open any 1040 forms. The returns containing the 1040 would display all forms except the 1040. On my add forms it shows the 1040 as being installed. When I try to add it to a return the program shuts down. No problem I'll just call tech support; that's when the nightmare began. I've gotten into the queue, pushed the 1 button 30 times, talked to a very apologetic supervisor only to be told after 2 hours of waiting that I have to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes for tech support only to get disconnected about 1 hour 15 minutes of waiting for tech support, I am furious. I have never had this problem before and usually if I have any issues I solve them myself because most problems I have I usually caused,GIGO, but this is ridiculous and support is nonexistent practically. I hope they fix this today, I am way behind.
