  1. Taking Pacun's advice.....ending my day and will try again in the am.
  2. I just tried to e-file and I'm getting the same error.
  3. Supper! Your suggestions worked.....I deleted the 1040 and the E-File form and re-added them and then re-created the e-File. ACK received! So appreciative for your support. Thank you!
  4. Thank you, I will try both suggestions and see what happens.
  5. Thank you. However, neither of these taxpayers had IP PIN numbers issued for identity theft. I entered a case # with ATX, hopefully they will get back to me with some answers. It's sounding like an 'IP Address' issue, yet it gets cleared through ATX. I will post the resolution when one is found....hopefully that is sooner rather than later Thank you again.
  6. Hi Everyone, I hope your season is starting off better than mine! I just received my first submission with a Agency Reject ... IND-196 'IPAddress' in 'AtSubmissionFilingGrp' in 'FilingSecurityInformation' in the Return Header must have a valid value. Does anyone have any idea what this is trying to tell me in English? Your help is always appreciated !
  7. And a special thank you to Jack from Ohio for giving us confidence in ATX software early this year.
  8. Hi Everyone, I am a small sole proprietor which operates nights and weekends and do about 200 returns give or take. (mixture of personal-small business-rentals-stock investors) Each return includes federal, state, and local filings. I work a full-time job (9 to 5) during the week which is my reason I do have to apologize that I don't participate much on the community site; however I do appreciate reading all of your professional input when I get the chance. I met with my last client for signature and e-filed it on a quick run home at lunch today and I'm so glad to be finished with the bulk of this year. About 12 on extension. Enjoy tomorrow everyone............I surely know I will be doing something unrelated to taxes............... A Happy and Blessed Easter to all !

    PA ACK's

Anyone experiencing delayed ACK's from PA? I haven't received any since the 9th!
  12. Yes, all is good with filing 8582.....did a couple yesterday and they went through!
  13. That's encouraging. Thanks!

  15. Does anyone know if 12.10 is a required download to e-file? If not, I might just stay with the version I'm on...............I've gotten to the point where 'real fear' of updating is setting in.
  16. I get may 'smart cookieness' from this forum!
  17. I think I'll do an external back-up before the next program update......................just in case.... I've read other posts in the past few weeks and am feeling the same way this season.............sitting on the edge of my chair everytime I click on a button.
  18. Nothing out of the ordinary............file a PA 40 & W-2S............just make sure you indicate "Non-Resident" on the form. PA return is very basic.
  19. I did the same thing yesterday...............of course it had to be one that had a lot of information in! uggggg Had to start all over again! I've changed names in the return manager in prior years and this has never happened! What is going on with the program?

    PA only E-file

I had to create both the federal and the PA state; however, once on the e-file screen I was able to just transmit the PA state. Once the state was accepted I then deleted the federal e-file that was created. (Never had to submit the federal) Round about way of doing thins, I'd say......but it works.
  21. I store my 8879's alphabetically in a 3-ring binder. I once heard from an instructor at an NATP seminar that if the IRS comes to audit 8879's you just give them the binder; that way you're not opening up every tax return for examination.
  22. Received my EFIN in '03. Did the application at an IRS Tax Forum in AC; I believe I was finger-printed right on the spot!
  23. Thanks for clarifying. Everyone is always so helpful on here. When you're a one-person office it's nice to have the back-up when things seem cloudy.
  24. I filed a few last evening (sunday) and they were all accepted.
