I enjoy playing Bridge, playing with the
grandkids; and shopping garage sales.
I love watching all sports and enjoy
reading and working sudoku puzzles.
I used to enjoy watching the news, but
it is so depressing these days....so I read.
1. Thank you so much. It is great to have a friend...
2. I have a return that Federal has been accepted. On e-file center the state shows rejected but no reject codes. On my e-file program the state is listed as held. I have gone into the return and re-created it with no errors but when I go to send it it still shows held. Can any one help> Thanks.
3. Send an e-mail to customer support to get their attention. I am having an issue with return check for Sch C and line for SE health insurance adjustment and they are really slow figuring out the problem. So heads up to do a lot of check returns before the season really kicks in since it appears we are testing the program. Let's keep those support people busy. Who knows, they may understand taxes before the season is over.
4. I have a question abot EIC while the subject is a topic... I know the cut off age is 65 but I can not find any inf about this situation... Couple filing MFJ...wife is over 65 and not working, husband is under 65 and has some income, so jointy do they qualify? thanks...
5. Recent legislation provides targeted tax relief for Homeowners equal to 90% of any tax increase (formerly 60%) over 12% for taxes paid in 2012 only. Dept of Revenue will figure the adjusted amount. Refund rate will increase from 60% to 75% for 2013 and after.
6. Thanks for the heads up on this. I was just about ready to pay $$ for a webinar on May 8th on this subject.
7. No, this was in addition to wages...sort of incentive pay to get him to go with their company.
8. and these payments were added to client's W-2. Can the client put them on Sch A since they aren't moving expenses?
9. Can closing costs on a home which were included on W-2 be deducted as moving expense? Distance and time tests were met.
10. I did include a phone number. I am now thinking that since I put April 15th as withdrawal date and banks are not open that date , that could be the reason...but will we ever know?
11. Has anyone figured out why/when electronic funds withdrawal is not accepted? I used to think it was because the client designated a savings account but I got one today that used a checking account and it was still denied. I filled in the date and amount of withdrawal...I am puzzled.
12. I haven't heard of anyone's check not being cashed by IRS. I have seen that statement and just chuckle...and print out the voucher on my 20 wt paper.
13. Client wired cash and was scammed. Can this be taken as a loss?
14. My bad...thinking of Roth rollovers I guess...
15. You are in luck as both 2009 and 2010 were years that the RMD could be left in the IRA to "grow"...
