  1. We picked up a new client, an self-employed electrician, who got behind with his tax return filings. Should these past tax returns be sent to the IRS in one package or what would be the best strategy? Thanks. Terry
  2. What in the world is wrong with ATX and Ohio forms? It is now February 21 ,2015 and ATX still has not finalized for use the Ohio IT-1140 and the Ohio IT-4708. This has happened in the past. The IT-1040 for individual tax returns was just available on 2/19/2015. I have to compete with the big commercial firms like Block & Jackson. How do I compete when they can complete their returns with the required OH- IT-1040 for the client copy? I understand that other tax preparation software do not have this problem The forms I mentioned above were all finalized by the state of Ohio eerily in January, 2015 if not earlier. There is no reason that ATX cannot have these forms available for use by the time E-filing begins. Sure I can manually prepare these returns for issue (which I have done) but it is an unacceptable pain in the butt to do this. I am going to look at another tax package if this issue is not resolved by next year. I assume that Ohio preparers are not a priority.
  3. On my E-file Manager tab, I notice that some of my Ohio e-files have a sub-type of "Direct State" and others are "State Only" the returns have the same forms (Fed, Ohio, School)....why the different sub-types?
