JohnH Posted March 13, 2019 Report Share Posted March 13, 2019 Why not just file a regular extension and automatically get 6 months? Filing the extension essentially take Apr 15 (or 35 days later) off the table insofar as having any significance is concerned (aside from IRA contributions, certain elections, etc. And it isn't clear that a 35 day extension would affect any of those items anyhow).
