WITAXLADY
so I did a search - seems AL is sort of tricky Client moved from GA 11/16/18 to AL and AL is taxing the entire year - I have pro-rated on the form AL Sch A (NR) for part year and nothing seems to carry over to AL 40 - I show what is not part of AL and I still get $8,000 of tax due on $50,000 income - looking for instruction book? and only find forms... also says it will take the 2106 - really? or a carryover from 2017? Help please - I am also not sure if GA corrected for part year - as said owes $2,000!! At least I figured the federal out.. Thank you for your help. Darlene ps - it snowed here today! Edsel
I read things that may invoke all sorts of problems in your post above. I can start out by stating that a part-year Alabama return should claim only the income earned in Alabama. This also means no credit for taxes paid to Georgia.
