Abby Normal
I doubt that means it won't run on 7, but... Here are the requirements. You can download 8.1 for free here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows8ISO
FDNY
Is there a way to get a product key? Looks like that's needed for the download.
Lee B
I believe the product key that you need is the one for your current Win 7 OS.

He's just built a couple win 8.1 computers for us.

Win 7 will not be supported anymore when tax season begins. NO ONE should have so much client information on a Windows 7 machine that is connected to the Internet. TAXMAN
I am still at win7. Appears need to go up. Win 8.1 vs win 10. Which do you think will be a better move with the learning curve in the process. I am told I can make win 10 behave like win-7. Anybody had any luck in doing that. Also do you think my old programs other than atx run on the new version. Other thing is 8.1 or win 10 an upgrade or a fresh install thus wiping out all my old stuff? Lee B
I am definitely leaning towards having a new computer built with a clean install of Win 8.1 that includes a free upgrade to Win 10.
B. Jani
I had window 7 but when 10 introduced and free upgrade, i upgraded it and it works great. So far no problem with ATX. 10 professional, bit locker and McAfee total protection.

WITAXLADY
My IT guy says 7 works but Microsoft will not have protection for it...
Randall
I wouldn't upgrade an old one to Win10. Buy a new computer with Win10.
