MN dhawk
I can't seem to avoid Windows 10 any longer. Have some shopping questions: Looking at 16 for memory. Would more be of any use? Is a touch screen of any use for ATX? How many past years can ATX run with Windows 10? Have already learned that SSD and UBS 3 are great. Thanks. Abby Normal
16 is likely enough. You can always add more later if you see it's using most of that. Touch screen is not of much use in ATX. My monitors are too far away to be comfortable to touch, anyway. Plus, I don't want fingerprints all over my monitors. People have reported installing quite a few years back. We did back to 13. USB 3 is at least twice as fast in our experience, but your devices have to be compatible. ILLMAS
I just turned on my new Dell XPS with Win 10 Pro and was hoping the Pro version was like Pro 7 and XP Pro without all extra bloatware, to my surprise it's basically the same as my home computer with Win 10 Home Edition. I am disappointed and will be looking into Win 10 Pro workstation edition.
MN dhawk
And is there any reason Windows 10 Pro is better than Home?
Roberts
For me, Pro gets you Bitlocker to encrypt your hard drive. I paid $14.95 and bought a piece of software that did the exact same thing. Remote Desktop Connection I think is the other major benefit but that's not something I need - I turn off my laptop or take it home when not in the office. You should never use a home OS for business. It's too limited in too many ways.
Pacun
One of the main reason Windows 10 Pro is better than Home is the ability of a computer to belong to a domain.
