ETax847
I have recently come across a few clients that have received bonuses on a 1099-NEC from an entity different from their employer. Are these bonuses that are reported on SCH C eligible for the QBI Deduction?
KenO
Should it be entered as Other income subject to SE rather than business income? Do they actually have a business?

Possi
I know that car salespeople receive "spiffs" on a 1099. In that particular case, it is other income not subject to s/e tax. So, I think it depends on your particular situation.
