Can't understand a rejection error

It reads "the return submitted contains a duplicate SubmissionID.  Recreate this return to assign a new SubmissionID and retransmit it.

This is for an FTB- 568 that I sent with the 1040.  What do I need to do to fix it?

I have only seen this when filing 941 forms.  Once you file the first quarter, the second quarter keeps part of the first id number and that causes the rejection. I used to delete the form and recreate them a few times until a new number was generated.  I don't recall exactly.

Curious, why are you sending both of them together?  Shouldn't the LLC, even if disregarded, go by itself?

I think sending them together is the problem.

I have gotten that error a few times and I just recreated the e-file and resent it and it worked. I'm not sure if that will fix it every time, but it did for me those few times.

ATX really needs a checkbox to create a new submission ID. It would solve the problem of having the wrong year in the submission ID, plus be the best way to fix duplicate IDs.
