How many renew their software now?

I usually renew early (ATX by May 31).  I have received the renewal notice in the mail but haven't gotten a call from my rep.  Usually, he calls by now.  Waiting for responses to see if they will give an additional discount if we ask.  Probably not.  I'm not expecting it.

I'm not sure where you are getting your information?  I was an ATX user back to the days of Saber.  Their cost, like almost every other technology company, have risen through the years.  For me it became cost prohibitive.  I switched to ProSeries for this past season.  I locked in their Choice 200 rate which provides me up up to 200 federal returns (all business and personal).  It includes every state as well, advanced calculations and unlimited use of their portal.  The cost for that package easily saved me $600 or more compared to what I would have paid for ATX MAX and their portal.  Granted, I'm limited to a total of 200 federal clients, but that is not an issue for me.

I'm not suggesting ATX is inferior, I enjoyed using the program.  With that said, ProSeries has saved me time and has added efficiencies that have helped me and my clients.

I was looking at the ProSeries Choice 200 as an alternative to ATX. I understand this is for new customers only. Could you tell me what are they telling you about renewal? I'm looking at alternatives as ATX is getting out of hand, but I don't want to be looking again next year.

I have about 100 extensions to work 1040 and entity and have been using Taxwise. However, Taxwise has not kept up with my state requirements or the advance reporting on entity returns (QBI multiple business activities, K-2) I have bought Drake PPR in the past and am considering it or ATX to finish out this year. They are both pricing out about the same with Drake charging for 300.00 for 2021 plus the 2022. I don't like the direct return input on Drake and am leaning to ATX. Thoughts?

Have you considered a trial of ProSeries?

I have no experience with ProSeries - only Inuit ProConnect Online which is outrageously priced so I only use it for complex returns.  I really don't like the way Intuit is treating ProAdvisors on the QBDT and QBO. Definitely need more than 200 per year.

It seems I now have only retention specialists which may be another name for sales rep.  I have been getting email reminders to renew a couple of times weekly for about a month.  I did email and ask for a better deal which was refused.  So I seem to be in communication with all new people (Heath Richardson seems to have left) but getting no satisfaction.  I did call the first one and spoke briefly but the next level up for retention replied by email and refused to do better.  At least two subsequent messages since then.  I would be happy to provide their contact emails and the number I have, if you like.

I finally got an email from a retention specialist this week and then a call. I just emailed back and said that I would touch base next week. I'm leaving for 4 days and don't even want to think about anything. I should bounce my emails and calls, because my clients seem to have ESP and know when I'm out of town to have some kind of emergency.🤪

I asked my rep if they were supporting the K-2 and K-3's and she told me something about the efile schematics? Anybody know?

The IRS just came out with another notice that K-2 or K-3 schema would not be available until July 2022. I think if your software supports, you can attached pdf of the form.
