EIN APPLICATION

I applied for an EIN for a deceased individual's revocable trust.  I marked revocable, put in date of death and got the number.  Now the letter that I printed on line says form 1041 needs to be filed on 12/12/2022 (that's the day I applied for the number)

And after review they determined I needed to file tax returns as far back as 2010.  How do I fix this?

"Trusts should enter the date the trust was funded or the date that the trust was required to obtain an EIN under Regulations section 301.6109-1(a)(2)."

I believe you have to mail a letter explaining what needs to be corrected. Address should be enclosed with the mailed EIN letter received from the IRS

or an online search will pop up the address.
