Lion EA
I do tax returns for a lot of states, but thank goodness I have NO and never had any and will NOT accept any Georgia clients.
BrewOne
geez. no social security number necessary? really. and I love "this deduction would not trigger an audit on its own"
Abby Normal
A lot of people are suddenly going to be pregnant, every year. When the IRS started requiring SSN for dependents, 10s of millions of dependents just disappeared.
BulldogTom
Reminds me of an article I read many years ago about a pregnant woman who was ticketed for driving in the car pool lane and went to court. The judge dismissed the ticket because he did not want to rule on when a child in the womb reached the status of a person under the law. Pregnant women should be able to drive in carpool lanes now in Georgia. Tom Longview, TX
Medlin Software, Dennis
As a male of the species, I have no say in the matter. As a 2x adoptive parent and several decade foster parent, I have an opinion. As the soon to be parent of an MD, I have an opinion. Easy audit though, if claimed one year, and no new SSN child the next year, they audit. Will be extra awful for those who suffer some sort of issue resulting in loss of the child/embryo/whatever term GA uses. Don't forget amended returns for those who filed before realizing they qualified.
Lion EA
Can a GA resident file a Protective Refund Claim just in case she finds out later that she was pregnant?!
