    Thanks, Gene, it worked! (I wrote the # on my disk, if I ever have to change computers again.)

    I wish I could afford ATX this year. I, too, do not like Taxwise. I am very dissapointed in TRX's no refund policy, even before tax season really starts. I will be returning to ATX next year, used it for 9 years with no problems.

    Cathyan, if you do bank products CCH will allow me to sell you ATX. The only thing is we are limited on supprot with ATX since CCH bought Intellitax so late in the year I had no clue we were even going to be able to offer ATX so I only have a few people trained for support. If you do bank products and want ATX call Laura in the morning she is at 866-829-9777 extn 167 and she can get you setup.

    Does anyone know if TRXALLIANCE is same as TRXPRO? I got the post cards from the same address and with same phone numbers but not sure if same company?are they also part of CCH which bought out ATX and TAXWise. Also I received postcard from company called Flashtax 1040LLC which offers the exact same thing as TRX with the same prices. Are they also part of CCH MONOPLY? I switched from ATX to TRX because of pricing and because TRX offers more for the money. TaxWise I never have liked. When I worked for IRS years ago, that is what the IRS used for preparing returns and it was not very user friendly. I ordered the TRX program last week and still have not received anything from them. When I call support, I keep getting transfered then put on hold the when support comes back, they can't help or they take forever and by phone battery dies before we finish what we started.

    I am here every day to check for messages.

    I hope this works out as good as the ATX community works.

    I don't like what I see in TaxWise, but will have to get through the season.

    I was hoping that TaxWise users will find this forum and maybe help us newbies out.

    I've used both TaxWise and ATX for about five years. (I'm an AARP/TCE volunteer in my spare time.) I think one thing you'll appreciate about TaxWise is the stability. They do about ten updates per season instead of almost one per day with ATX. And of course since they use conventional word processing techniques instead of a spreadsheet for the client letters, customization is much easier and less cryptic.

    But both products are under new management, and we are buying TaxWise on the cheap from a re-seller, so it may be an interesting season!

    Guys we are allowed to sell you ATX but only if you do Bank Products, that is how they get compensated for the reduced price we are able to offer you.

    I don't mind buying a product "on the cheap" by being able to participate in a "bulk rate discount." As a one-person shop, I don't get that opportunity very often. I have a small practice and simply cannot afford several thousand dollars for software. But I do require something more powerful than TurboTax.

    Kea, that is exactly why created TRX Alliance for all the people can compete with the big boys without have to spend a fortune. Thanks for your business
