  1. I was told by ATX that we were able to e-file the 1094-C and 1095-C forms. When I went to e-file them it said there were no e-file forms. We are mandated by IRS to e-file these forms as we have 400 of them! Does anybody know about this? Thank you.

  2. Has anyone prepared an opinion for the form 5500? It must be the summer ending because I'm a little confused. I am disinterested as I do not have anything to do with the plan correct? I do the books and prepare the return for the corporation but I do not do the payroll or have anything to do with the plan.

    Thanks!

  3. Sorry KC I guess I didn't explain myself correctly. The lawsuit was for property damages and they won. The lawyer then sent them a 1099-MIS with box 3 other income. I was pretty sure that this was not a taxable event but thought I should check just to make sure. I'm going to have to call this lawyer.

  4. Hello, everybody. A client called me and said that an IRS Agent was trying to contact them.

When the client finally got the agent on the phone, the agent said that the IRS will be

auditing their 2007 1040, and that the letter outlining what they'll be examining was

mailed to the client last Friday (client has yet to receive the letter).

I have never heard of an IRS Agent calling a taxpayer to give them a "heads-up" on an

upcoming audit. Just checking with you to see if this is a new way for the IRS to contact

taxpayers. Seems a little odd to me. Usually the audit letter is the first contact that

the IRS has with a taxpayer selected for an examination.

    Booger

    I haven't either.

  5. Is anyone getting rejection errors on the NY 370? I'm getting 1040fd404 error number. I looked it up in the NYS e-file handbook but I couldn't find it. Help! This happened to me with the business extensions too. Thanks for all your help.

  6. YES. We transmitted 15 extensions on Feb 18th. To date we still have 'Transmitted to EFC' as the status. Per tech support's instructions, we re-created about six of them and tried to transmit again. All six are now rejected by EFC because the original submission is still pending. Today I was told by ATX to have my clients contact NYS to find out why the returns have not yet been accepted! I told them that there was no way I was going call a client to have them research what I am paying ATX to do. It's now 5:16PM on March 9th, and those returns are still in limbo. ATX is insisting is must be something in each return, although they have admitted that this is a known problem not only with NYS but with several other states. Oddly enough, the other NYS corps we did on later dates went through with no problem. (copied from my reply on ATX Communities).

Thanks Demarie. All my corporation returns were accepted its just my extensions. I'm still fighting with them. Yesterday they told me to uncheck the lock button on the form! Can you believe that! They don't even know their own program!

  7. Is anyone having problems filing NYS CT 5.4 extensions? Mine keep coming back rejected on two different computers. I update manually twice a day. I calle ATX and they told me they don't know what the problem is to call NYS. I did and they said there is a problem with programming. Icalled back ATX and gave them a number to call in NYS and they called me back about the 204-llc form! Help thse peopl;e are driving me nuts!

    YVonne

  8. Has anyone gotten their NYS extensions rejected? I've gotten two back saying the ct elf schema validation error? Called ATX they don't know what that is! They told me to call NYS. I thought maybe someone has come across this. Thanks!
