    TRX Software Development, Inc. =

Tax Preparer's Nightmare (February 28, 2013- Nashville, Tennessee) – BBB warns tax preparation consultants of the business practices of TRX Software Developers Inc., aka TRX, Tax Refund Xpress, and Tax Exact, located at 906 Dashiel Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, phone numbers: 855-880-1040, 866-829-9777, and 615-355-0705. Over the past twelve months, BBB has received over 60 complaints from tax preparation consultants that outline hundreds of dollars in revenues lost as a result of TRX’s faulty tax preparation software. TRX provides a software program designed to assist independent tax preparation consultants in filing tax returns for their clients; however, complaints allege the software is incomplete resulting in the inability to properly file returns with the IRS. This has also resulted in additional damage to the independent tax consultant, such as loss of business and profits, as their clients are seeking tax filing assistance from other tax preparation consultants. Complaints also allege:Failure to provide vital support to resolve program operating issuesFailure to respond to calls and emails asking for assistanceLeaving consultants on hold for lengthy periods of timeRefusing to provide refunds for unusable softwareAlthough the company’s website claims the software is “accurate” and “user friendly,” consultants contacting the BBB say otherwise. One tax prep consultant indicated the IRS rejected his tax filings due to the software issues. Some complaints indicate the software did not contain the correct information to file state income taxes, while others allege they had to buy another tax preparation program to save their reputation and clients. If you have had an unsatisfactory experience with TRX Software Developers, Inc. please contact Tim Sneed at 615-250-4223 or [email protected]. To avoid becoming a victim of a software nightmare:Ask around. Get referrals from friends and business organizations and check out the company’s BBB Business Review at www.GoBBB.org. Look for credentials. Find out if the company is affiliated with any professional organizations or licensing agencies and check their status.Make sure they are properly authorized. In the U.S., tax preparer software must be authorized by the IRS. In Canada, the software must be authorized by the Canada Revenue Agency.Read the information carefully. Read agreements closely to ensure you understand how much it is going to cost for the program and how the cost will affect your business. Be sure you understand the program, if refunds are given, and what is required for a refund.Look for Reliability. Look for companies who have a proven track record for providing reliable products.

  2. That is why the class lawsuit must put Doug Hugh as personal liability. His corporation won't protect him because he moved the business fund into his personal fund without reasonable cause. Consulting your lawyer how the officers of a corporation are personal liability with corporation debit.

  3. Taxed, I am using Taxwise to preparing a few tax returns within the states for business and individuals. and all efilings are ackowledge.

Poeple who used TRX do not want to pay thousands price. They are seeking for lower price with quality tax sofware.

Up to now, promotion code for TAXwise with price $399 almost giving out. FIFO.

Friends at the risk of repeating myself, please be vigilant when you are dealing with resellers. No one sells below their cost with the hope to get you back for renewals! Remember TRX was also a reseller for Taxworks!

If you are just concerned about this year, go for the best deal you can grab! BUT for long term commitment with a particular software, you will be better off in the long term to avoid risk by dealing with the software publisher directly. Look Taxworks is giving refunds to its users who want out!

  4. In case we do not get refund from TRX.

I will build the list for class lawsuit for those who ripped by TRX to refuse the refund. Please send me message with your email.

Lawers in NYC won't charge any legal fee until winning the case. The recovery will be included the cost of purchase, penaly , legal fee and court fee. Basically, TRX and Doug Huges will pay legal fee once the case wins.

People stick together with very higher chance to winning during lawsuit.

  5. Those are interested for Taxwise, and worry about EFIN registered with CCH before. Please send me private message in this foruml with your email. I will email you the promotion code for this price

$399 for all 50 federal and states - 1040, 1120c,1120s, and 1165 , 1041, trust and estate and no profit.

Also, unlimited efiling too. Must be hurried, the promotion codes are limited and given out FIFO.

Make it easy order online, don't need to call and begging for discount with any dealers.

  6. Do you get any State and business worked?

I haven't jumped ship .... yet. I've completed 2 returns and they have been accepted. Both were very simple returns.

I may have to look at a pay per return for the returns I can't do in TaxExact, but those end up costing almost as much as TaxAct. I'm also considering putting more complex returns on extension and filing them after 4/15 when I can demo other software for free. My practice is small enough that price really is my driving factor. So far I've only looked at prices for alternatives and have not yet demoed anything.

But, like everyone else, I'll do what I have to do.

  7. How ironic this Doug said about his tax product!

I appreciate your comments I think?? However we are issuing refunds to the ones that were promised a RedGear product, we have to check points the phone conversation and the notes in our CRM at the time of sell. But most people are not wanting refunds once they look at our TRX Pro and see how easy it is to use. You are somewhat right in your explanation and it says basically what you said on our website in the FAQ section, good thing though is we have our own Software and no one will have to switch going forward. Thanks Doug

  8. Mike, I sent your personal message yesterday. I think it is better that you should ask people send you personal message regarding to building list of those ripped by TRX.

NYC lawyer usally charge 1/3 of recovery, but recovery will be included cost of loss, penalty, legal fee and court fee if the case win, but make sure put this Doug Huges into the lawsuite in case

TRX files bankruptcy after winning the case. The reason puts this guy as personal liabiltiy is the Doug moved the large fund from the business into his personal fund. Please read the following link: (attachment showed )

I think that before we embark on a class action we should file an offical request for a refund with TRX based on fraud and deception. In additiont each and everyone of us should first try to claim a refund from their credit card companies and/or banks where applicable!

Major reasons for my approach is cost. an attorney will most likely charge up to 50% of recoveries? Should all else fail, I would support a class action.

If we have any attorney's on this board please let us know if you can be of any assistance in this regard?

I will begin the list of disatisfied customers requesting a full refund from TRX.

Michael M Dubin CPA TRX Customer ID# 950217.

Let's all work together as there is power in numbers!

    Mike Dubin CPA

  9. All of us should stick together and file class lawsuite with TRX if TRX refuses to full refund for their non-working software.

Anyone please try to contact lawyers if possible, and see any lawyer will take case like this.

We should all join class action to save time and money.

    Any comments?
