I was one of the founders of this board, I've been here since day 1, and never have I seen anyone spend so much time and emotion on ranting about something happening on another board.

I think there is a broad concensus that FTM is a funny tax man.

Drake's forthrightness is fascinating and to be admired. From a legal standpoint, are they not putting it in writing, hey we messed up, and if you get penalties b/c of our deficiency, contact us; which to me implies that maybe they;'ve put themself on the line for exposure (or their insurance company)

What if someone owed 1 million dollars and the extension didn't go thru on 4/15 b/c of Drake, now someone might have to pay 50k penalty.

Did they not just put in writing that Drake is liable for this.

However, Phil Drake said "We have been communicating with the IRS and have requested"

He didn't say he got word from the IRS that would be granted an extra day.

Maybe he was informed unofficially by the IRS that Drake would be granted an extra day.

Didn't turbotax or Proseries have this situation a few years ago?

I just find Drake a good honest company.

was checking out ProSeries; it had some nice features; i still like the layout of atx the best, but will say I did like Pro Series' layout.

How long does it take for you to click the icon to get ATX to open; for me it's less than 20 seconds.

Whcih seems very fast...and the reason i think for that is my solid state drive.

i am seeing delays; the irs is researching a client who was supposed to have 60k withdrawn on 4/11

my debits are delayed..i'm not so nervous as long as the extension is timely...late payment is 1/2 of 1% penalty

and i feel if i have proof i transmitted before 4/15 shouldn't be aproblem; though i'd be happier if the money came out

I think it takes a little, and often alot out of us each time a client we're close to or feel warm torwards is not well or passes on.
