My client forgot she changed bank accounts. Therefore the funds were electronically sent to a closed bank account. When this happens does the IRS issue a paper check? Do you know how much additional time this takes?

Does anyone know if you can still E-File a 2006 individual tax return?

The non-custodian parent claimed the child even though the parent having custody did not sign the release form. The E-File was rejected. My client stated that he X husband was deliquent for a number of years in child support. How should I handle this situation. Advised my client to sent the return by mail and claim the child and let IRS decide or should she call them before filing by mail since I cannot file her return using E-File.

I cannot E-File a return due to the Form 5695 not yet approved. AtX stated it would be ready 2/11/2008. This is the first time I had to wait this long in order to complete a individaul 1040.
