  1. It worked fine for me, both prior and after a program update.

I just got off the phone with Tech Support for ATX. Yes they really do have a true teckie. Of course it took me 45 mins and 3 transfers to get one but when I did he came into my computer via the internet and worked my computer with my guidence and saw first hand exactly what the problem was. He then put me on hold for about a minute and came back and said that ATX was aware of the problem and that it affects rollovers more than newly created return files and it's also hit and miss meaning it can work for you now and the next time it won't which explains the previous post. He said he will call me as soon as he is aware that ATX has fixed it.

  2. Just today when I try to create an PDF file of a tax return and I hit to save the file the Print Manager screen won't go away and I can't do anything but reboot.

Am I the only one experiencing this problem? I go on line every day and update and I even reloaded my original disk and nothing works. I can print from the Print Mgr screen, it just freezes up when I try to save a created PDF file.

  3. ahh, the froggy chorus has started....ribbit, ribbit, ribbit

    Joan,

You must be near a normal source of water as frogs don't usually travel far from home to lay eggs. The larger tads means frogs and from the size probably bullfrogs. Unless you don't want a real mess make sure they have a way to climb out. Way to go Proud Momma!

  4. There is one other reason to file the extension. There are some elections that can only be made on a timely filed return. A return on extension is considered timely filed while one not on extension is not considered timely filed. Do it just to protect your clients rights.

Another 2 good reasons to file the extension.

    1. I charge $50 per each and have been forever.

    2. Charging for and sending out the extension bills also helps me to weed out undesirable new clients before more time is wasted on them. If they call and complain, I gladly write the bill off and bid them farewell.

  5. My hot tub got all messed up this winter, and I've just ignored it. But I keep hearing frogs outside my window. First one, then two then lots. I just looked in the hot tub. Its full of mosquito larvae. And also full of tadpoles. Don't want to kill the tadpoles....do tadpoles eat mosquitoes?

After tax season, the problems just get wierder....

Yes they eat the larvae and any algae you might have. They may either be toad or frog tadpoles. If they are real small they are usually toad tadpoles but not always. Toads usually lay their eggs just about anywhere there is standing water. Frogs are more particular since they typically live near a good water source.

I also had a problem e-filing NJ 1041, I deleted the e-file and re-created, it final went through. Hopes this helps.

Well today ATX shows NJ accepted it so I won't have to call after all.

    Thanks for the number anyway.

  7. I am a Fl filer trying to e file in NJ and ATX says "Action Required". I called ATX and they say I need to get in touch w/ NJ. Anyone have a number that I might try to call?
