lsowers Posted April 11, 2008 Report Share Posted April 11, 2008 New client received 1099 from investment guy. Client gets kickback for any referrals he makes to the investment guy. The income was put in box 7 (non-employee comp). I am thinking it should go in box 3 (other income). He is not working for this guy and is not in the investment business. Am I right?
