Call the IRS e-file help desk and ask them to check their database to see if the decedent is on it (takes 5-6 weeks after SSA has been notified). Once it is on the database, efile has worked.

I need to transfer client files from the data entry computer to the printing/efile computer, and then back, particularly if there are changes. I would appreciate any comments on the best way to do this.

After getting an efile reject for a fiscal year (ending 6/30/06) 990, I tried to update all forms. After about 2 hours, I finally got a "download failed" message. Since then, ATX 2005 will open, but stops before forms load. To make matters worse, I'm traveling and do not have access to the original CD (could have it mailed to a future stop). Anyone have any suggetions?
