  1. Thank you.  However, neither of these taxpayers had IP PIN numbers issued for identity theft.

I entered a case # with ATX, hopefully they will get back to me with some answers.  It's sounding like an 'IP Address' issue, yet it gets cleared through ATX.

I will post the resolution when one is found....hopefully that is sooner rather than later

    Thank you again.

  2. Hi Everyone,

I hope your season is starting off better than mine!

I just received my first submission with a Agency Reject ... IND-196   'IPAddress' in 'AtSubmissionFilingGrp' in 'FilingSecurityInformation' in the Return Header must have a valid value.

Does anyone have any idea what this is trying to tell me in English?

Your help is always appreciated !

  3. Hi Everyone,

I am a small sole proprietor which operates nights and weekends and do about 200 returns give or take. (mixture of personal-small business-rentals-stock investors) Each return includes federal, state, and local filings.

I work a full-time job (9 to 5) during the week which is my reason I do have to apologize that I don't participate much on the community site; however I do appreciate reading all of your professional input when I get the chance.

I met with my last client for signature and e-filed it on a quick run home at lunch today and I'm so glad to be finished with the bulk of this year. :D

    About 12 on extension.

Enjoy tomorrow everyone............I surely know I will be doing something unrelated to taxes............... ;)

A Happy and Blessed Easter to all !

  4. I think I'll do an external back-up before the next program update......................just in case....

I've read other posts in the past few weeks and am feeling the same way this season.............sitting on the edge of my chair everytime I click on a button.

  5. man, i always love this board, just wished i would have looked at this post before i changed the name on the return manager. just lost a return i had been working on for awhile because t/p was single and now married...

note to self - read the board and the posts before starting the work day...

    back to work.

I did the same thing yesterday...............of course it had to be one that had a lot of information in! uggggg Had to start all over again!

I've changed names in the return manager in prior years and this has never happened! What is going on with the program?

  6. I had to create both the federal and the PA state; however, once on the e-file screen I was able to just transmit the PA state. Once the state was accepted I then deleted the federal e-file that was created. (Never had to submit the federal)

Round about way of doing thins, I'd say......but it works.

  7. I store my 8879's alphabetically in a 3-ring binder.

I once heard from an instructor at an NATP seminar that if the IRS comes to audit 8879's you just give them the binder; that way you're not opening up every tax return for examination.
