Change the location of your backup to a folder on your hard drive, then copy the files in that folder to your CD.

I agree with this guy. Its probably looking for the cd that you had in last.

Anyone else having problems with this? I emailed ATX a few days ago, but no reponse. Are you surprised??!!

Suddenly I can no longer backup returns. I get the error "You are not connected, or do not have permission, to access the location of the Backup." It also pops up everytime I close the program, so no more automatic backups. And it effects all the years I have.

Well, unless I have office gremlins, I'm always connected and always have permission to do whatever I want! So me thinks it's a program error.

I haven't changed anything that would effect this, although I may have updated ATX that day.

Ideas?

are you on a network? or have done a backup on a thumb drive lately?

But this is your post from another thread. How would you know that there are links to this site if you were not there? And how do you know that EVERY customer knows about the other site.

I know because I read on this site a good bit, and I saw where people were saying that there is links on the other site. I would be glad to give you the link if you need it. Everyone knows about it because either a: they got an email from atx or b: because it is listed on the atx support site.

You are awfully indignant for a customer of ATX. You post just confirms what I suspect about you. CCH is planting people on this board to get them to move to the CCH moderated board "where EVERYONE is going to be, and be happy ever after". No disputes, no negative comments about the buttheads who run CCH, no disention at all. Just loving, friendly CCH folks.

CCH makes me puke. Their plants on this board are the puke.

Im sorry Bullsh*t, I mean Bulldog but you have me all wrong. Plus I never said anything about anyone moving over to the other board, I could care less. Truth is I haven't even used the other board. You know what they say about people that assume right?

Question for Blackenend....What does firewalls etc have to do with the fact that Minnesotans could not e-file until mid February...and even then had to re-create and re-send all the returns because ATX screwed up? The software is okay...the tech support, as someone said, is standing in the unemployment line in Maine.

CCH Plant? Is it in the rules that I must fill out my profile information? Do you treat all new people this way? Maybe thats why there arent as many people that use this board. Is this board for only the negative people of ATX? Maybe it should be renamed if that is so.

Right, but a lot of customers don't visit or know about the forum. I have a friend here in my state, we both worked together, both use ATX. We call each other with some questions. She's never heard of the forum (old or new) until I mentioned it LY. She made her first post the day before it was shut down, and she's never been to this one.

Anyone remember how many users the old forum had? And then, consider how many are regulars vs. one-timers. Those that pick our brains & contribute nothing back.

I think the software is really great. What I have found out is most of the problems are generated by antivirus and firewalls or always some screw up with Microsoft software (go figure).

Maybe you can think of it as "will you continue to use the unofficial ATX Community, now that the official one is back?"

I would say that the other board will have a lot more members. 700 customers on this site is like 2 peas in a bucket compared to how many ATX customers there are.

Isn't question #2 a no brainer? How are you going to vote "no" if you have to use this community board to vote no? Ya know what I mean?
