jasdlm
I have to paper file a NY return because my client died during the year (leaving surviving spouse). Also, because it is the only NY return I have (client lives in NJ so non-resident return) and I don't have a NY Efiling number. Do I need to send a paper copy of the Federal with the NY? Thanks! Guest Taxed
I file 3 to 5 NY non resident returns and all I had to do was register online with NY DOR and get a registration #. Did not have to pay a fee because I am out of state preparer and do less than 10. if you think you may have NY returns just get that reg # it is free.
