kcjenkins Posted February 2, 2008 Report Share Posted February 2, 2008 The IRS can not deal with the withholding when it is on a 1099-Misc. It's a programing problem at their end. You will have to paper file it, or wait until they get their software fixed to deal with it. Or, if the amount is real small, and the refund is large, and the client is in a tearing hurry, consider efiling without the withholding, and you can later amend to get it.
