Naila Ahmad Posted February 8, 2008 Report Share Posted February 8, 2008 I have filed 1040A with HOH as filing status. Qualifying person is the son , who is also dependent of this custodial parent. It got a rejection error for e-filing stating that Qualifying name for HOH and SSN for qual name should be given. my question is. do i have to give the name and SSN of the qual person on Line 4 even though he is a dependent? and in which format it has to be.
