AnnieR Posted March 11, 2008 Report Share Posted March 11, 2008 I got a phone call today from Sheila Toney at the Oh Dept of Taxation concerning a return I had e-filed on January 30, with an Injured Spouse. She wanted me to mail her copies of the IS's W-2's. In this case the IS is the husband, all earnings are his. I explained this to her and I also told her that this young man is undergoing treatment for cancer, he's unable to work and when he has chemo once a month, he spends that week in the hospital. She asked me to fax the W-2s to her and the fax machine was right outside her office door, she would walk the forms to the payment dept and make sure the payment order was made today. I called the couple later and they told me that she had called and told them that the situation had been taken care of. Sometimes you find a heart in the middle of a mess!
