taxdan Posted August 28, 2008 Report Share Posted August 28, 2008 To avoid the pre 59 1/2 withdrawal penalty from an IRA, does the withdrawal have to happen on or after the DAY the person reaches 59 1/2 or anytime during the YEAR the person reaches 59 1/2?
