Marie Posted February 18 Report Share Posted February 18 parents claimed child in 2022. In 2023, child is claiming himself. Under the state tab to mark resident or not, and county, I can't get the dependent to say Single. I deleted the MO return and reopened it, and it still says dependent. I had this also happen when a husband died and I re-entered the wife as the filer. MO said, again, she was a dependent. No matter how many times I checked and unchecked the X box saying if dependent on the main info screen. So, I've had to delete the whole return and reenter all the info from w-2's.
