Posted January 9, 2009 Report Share Posted January 9, 2009 I know it's early.....and I generally don't begin filing returns so soon.......but I have a few requests for returns so I started doing them. NY used to have a form IT-579 which the taxpayer had to sign authorizing the preparer to file electronically. It says that the 579 has been replaced with the 579-IT.
