Gail in Virginia Posted December 2, 2009 Report Share Posted December 2, 2009 Of course I charge. I have to completely re-do the return, and prepare copies to paper-file instead of e-filing. The only time I don't charge to file an amended return is if we are filing to correct my mistake. If I originally prepared the return, and don't have to re-enter all the information i would charge a nominal fee of around $50. If I did not do the return, it is just like I am filing their return for the first time in terms of the time that it takes me and I would charge accordingly.
