bay Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Hello Everyone, Today a client requested that I e-mail them a "pdf" copy of their tax return. I have done this in the past but have always been worried about security of the client's tax return. Is there a way whereby you can encript a pdf file whereby the client would need a password to open the document? What do all of you fine people do? Thanks in advance GO BUCKS! Quote
JohnH Posted December 6, 2007 Report Posted December 6, 2007 Earlier this year I bought "Click to COnvert" after seeing it recommended on the ATX knowledgebase. I used it to password protect some info I had sent out from time-to-time, although I'm getting less inclined to even do that now. The price was about $90, and it has several other handy features. http://www.clicktoconvert.com/index.html If you'll do a seach, I think you'll find one or two other strings that discuss this topic and they will have the names of some other solutions as well.
