Iowa Preparers

Eli

Recommended Posts

I'm working on my 1st Iowa return & am wondering if there is anything out of the ordinary I need to look out for. The couple worked in Iowa from January to October.

Thank you!

Eli

You need to complete the IA1040 & IA126. You need to complete the IA1040 using all-source income and then use the IA126 to figure your Iowa-source income. Also if it is a married couple - usually better to file married filing separately on one form status 3 instead of married finally jointing status 2. this is a little more work but usually better tax rate
