  1. According to the IRS and FTB websites, "Disaster-area taxpayers in most of California and parts of Alabama and Georgia now have until Oct. 16, 2023, to file various federal individual and business tax returns and make tax payments". When I try and make extensions and auto payments for my clients, the ATX program will not accommodate these extensions. Does anyone have a workaround or knowledge of what ATX is planning to do?
  2. Lynnjacobs, yes, they have that, but it is 14pages long and trying to index to your particular problem is horrific. Thanks for the suggestion, but I was hoping for a whole thread that has headings for particular problems. Gailtaxed, I'll see if I can get a thread on the official site as well.
  3. As we all know, trying to get to Tech Help at ATX is difficult. Many of the posts being put out address many of the same issues. Why can't ATX put forward a location on the Community, the Blog, the Knowledge base that clearly summarizes common problems and then publish the best solutions? I am dying on the vine, trying to ferret out various problems using a cantankerous search engine when I should be making money doing tax returns. FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE ATX HELP US!!
  4. I have a Win7 server/ workstation and two XP workstations. Every time I try and open the program on the XP stations I can open a return but they crash and give the Network Runtime 4.0 Error as above. I have done EVERYTHING mentioned on these forums but buying new computers. Delete Assets File, updates, reinstall (I reinstall net setup EVERY MORNING) blah blah blah. I notice that running ATX2012 Loader takes a full gigabyte of memory. My XP workstations have 2 gigs free so they should be OK BUT??? As a note of nostalgia, I opened ATX 2011 and it only took 80MB to run. Come on, a 1200 times increase in memory? Anyway, can someone point me in the right direction? Is the runtime error due to lack of memory? Is XP the culprit? Do I need to partition the hard drives with Windows 7? Do I have to close every other program but ATX on the workstations? I have used ATX since 1998 or whenever they started (as MAx Tax or whatever). I have programming experience. This is really tough.
  5. ProSeries just quoted me an unlimited 1040 1065 1120 1120S 990 package, all efiles at no cost, 3 user license for $1,900. I was wondering if any of you besides clay above had had good experience with ProSeries especially the conversions. Are the conversions taking more than 8 business days?
  6. Boy, if you find out, let me know. Same thing is happening to me.
