I've had no problems with ATX this year. Only one crash when I had two very large returns open at once. No 'server' errors either.

You enter the IPPIN on the filers info tab of the 1040. You're entering the PIN on page 2.

Tom, You can ignore the yellow error about the 1120 and file the 568 on its own. I don't know if the CA LLC 4/7 can be e-filed with the return. Doesn't that get filed with the SOS?

Does it say what federal form needs to be attached?

I've done several last year, just the 568 and it went through fine. Is question U (1) (page 2 form 568) answered "yes"?

Let them do their own due diligence. I don't provide any kind of "comfort letters"

I use "Zzample" as the last name in the template files so they show as the last ones in the return manager, or you could use something beginning with "Aa..." if you want them to show as the first ones in the list.

Abby, I've seen you post a lot of good ideas for enhancements on the "official" board. Maybe they're actually paying attention?

I had the same message e-filing a 2014, but ultimately it was transmitted and accepted. Have you contacted ATX?

Is it ROFT, or ROFTL - Record of Federal Tax Liability?

I haven't had any speed issues with the software this year, but in the past the anti-virus program I used (McAfee??, I don't recall), would occasionally cause my system to slow to a crawl.

When I took the SEE you couldn't choose which part to take. It was a 2 day event, parts 1 and 2 one day, parts 3 and 4 the next. IRS gave you a pencil (no prometric in those days). After part 3, which I thought was unbelievably hard, I met one of the persons who took the same SEE prep course, he says to me "Joe, that wasn't a #2 pencil they gave us, it was a #2 dart!"

How many times have you seen clients after being informed of what they owe on their retirement distribution, take out more to pay the tax, so the problem occurs over multiple years?

I have a Kindle Paperwhite and a Kindle Fire HD6. I use the fire when I'm away from the office to check my e-mail, and some internet browsing. Also, have a music app and use the fire with a bluetooth speaker when we're on vacation etc. The Paperwhite is exclusively for reading, if you have the Amazon kindle unlimited account, you can 'borrow' up to 10 books at a time. I love reading, slow times of the year I might read 3 or 4 books a week.

I have client that spent a small fortune on their website, over 200K. I took the cost amortized over 3 years, but subsequent costs are expensed as website maintenance. I found this article that may help:

That's a great utility, got rid of the Win 10 upgrade box in the system tray.

The 2014 carryover should show on line 21, even though there is a NOL for this year. Are you electing to carryforward the 2015 loss?

I could have slept in this morning, first Saturday no morning appointments. So what happens, I wake up early and can't get back to sleep! Oh well, at least it's nice and quiet.

Finished with my last evening appointment for the season, and there's no other work to do afterwards. I'll get to the extensions after a nice break.
