  1. Yes, that is why I couldn't find anything on the IRS website. I guess I should have ran back to Lacerte.
  2. I posted a similar question on the other board and have an answer from ATX: "It means that we are working with the IRS to get final approval for e-file. Please continue to monitor the efile availability page. 1041 e-file will be available very soon."
  3. Joanmcq, I know about the delayed forms and get the IRS bulletin. I was just seeing if any of the other software was able to process the 1041 as I do not trust ATX after the start of the season I have. I might be having a stupid day (common the day after a migraine) but I checked the IRS website, re-read the bulletin, and assumed Agency testing was an IRS issue but just wanted to confirm. I wanted to give my client some information so he could tell the beneferciars. This is the first and only 1041 I have completed. It is also the first form I thought I would be able to file with ATX. I hope your kitty feels better.
  4. Education credits and daycare make a huge difference in a refund. If you take what you got back last year and add those two credits does your return make sense?
  5. How do I find out if this is an IRS issue or a ATX issue? I have a client eager to file and I want to know if I should have him file on paper? It's a form 1041. ATX list the form as Agency Testing. A
  6. Ok, that makes perfect sense. The only thing that actually flows to the K-1 is the loss on the sale and the expenses. A
  7. Hi fellow ATX'ers, I said yes to a simple Estate return and have never completed one before. All the activity is holding of a lake property, sell of lake property at a loss, and distributions to 10 beneficiaries. I may be brain dead this morning but for the life of me I can't find where to enter the distributions so they flow to the beneficiaries K-1's.
  8. Thanks everyone! This is what I needed.
  9. Client says the W-2 is incorrect and wants me to report the amount she says is correct. It's a 740 dollar difference in taxable wages. This would result in $60 in additional refunds. Can I do this? How? Should I do this?
  10. Hey all, I'm new to ATX and am finally able to start processing a few returns. I'm so annoyed trying to work with the program that everything seems much harder than it should be. I usually pick up new technology pretty fast - not this time! Anyone have any suggestions where I can get some "training?" Jackie

    12.5 is here

I found downloading the update and then installing it in the program worked best. I never was able to get the download to work within the software. After 24 hours I am up an running. I was able to open my returns and begin working on them. After some sleep I will try and process my first return. Jackie

Thanks jklcpa and grmy2h Ok, so I had to Install Lacerte 2011 on my new computer. I am know going to convert the returns, then rollover 2011, and hope for the best. If this doesn't work I guess I will use Lacerte for one more year. I hope ATX gives me my money back. Jackie

Ugh! I finally was able to download the stupid update. When I open the return I get this: Cannot Open Rolled - Over Return This is all I have as I transferred from Lacerte to ATX 2012. My old laptop with Lacerte and ATX 2011 is dead. Now what do I do? Ideas? Jackie

Fingers crossed, lucky charms, please let this work! Downloading the new update ..... I really need to get this season started. I sent out a promo to my existing clients for referrals and I haven't been able to help anyone.

    Update 12.5

Thanks! I got up at 4:00 am for nothing. Guess I use the time to finish payroll taxes.
