  1. We purchased Scan & Fill and have recently installed it. I have been on hold with customer service forever trying to find out exactly what 1099s and W-2s this program is capable of scanning and importing. We have tried some 1099-INT, 1099-DIV, and 1099-MISC statements with no success. The user manual only says...."any other form in our library of recognized tax forms".

Does anyone know what forms Scan & Fill will successfully scan and import? I have been looking online for a listing somewhere with no luck.

Additionally, does ATX offer refunds for their programs when we discover we don't like them.

    Any input would be appreciated.

    JCMCCANN,

I believe ATX still has the 30 day refund policy. You need to send the software back with a request to cancel. Call the sales folks with help on the cancellation if technical support doesn't work out for you.

  2. Now wait a minute. Just how many ATX employees and ex-employees and temps are having babies, anyway?! Isn't there anything else to do up in Caribou, Maine? That's the opposite of death and taxes. How do the conception dates coordinate with the closing of the tax forum? Or, the buyout? Or, any other significant (to us customers, of course) event? Did all that sex have anything to do with the price increases? Or, the layoffs? (I think there's a joke in that one, someplace, but I'm not going any further.) Anyway, congratulations to all the new parents.

    Good one, Lion.

Since August, there were 2 babies born to call center reps. I had another little girl and another rep had a little boy.

It appears Danielle's bun is still in the oven past the due date. He would have made 3.

The winters are very cold here in Caribou. Hence the 2 babies in the Fall :)

  3. Hello Everyone,

I was bored so I started doing my tax return today :)

As some of you know, I had another Daughter in August.

In the column for "Number of months in the home for 2007" do I put 12 or 4?

If I put in 4 she doesn't qualify for the tax credit. Should she?

    How should I handle this?

P.S. - I am sooooo happy to have you guys here to help :)

The shoe is on the other foot now, huh?

  4. Hey Eli,

I am still here, thanks for asking :)

I only post when absolutely necessary as I don't want to rile folks up with my presence.

Unlike the other forum, this isn't really my place to reply to concerns.

Of course, you folks can always message me on this board and I will do my best to help when I can.

  5. Hello Everyone,

MAX is definitely not being de-featured.

This new add-on for Ohio is actually pretty cool and will save time for those

of you who do returns for people with income in more than a few cities.

In learning about this new add-on, I was amazed at the complexity of the Ohio city tax code.

We had returns last year from Ohio where a highway employee had income from 53 cities,

all of which would have had to be entered manually. This worksheet will save a lot of time.

Jack, I do not envy your job :)

  6. The entire purpose of my post was that these people ARE stating company policy. I only asked the lady to see if there were any other discounts available. She did her job very well

    Sorry for the misunderstanding, Jack.

When you said you were "hiding the names to protect the guilty"

and then hid the rep's name, I could only infer you felt her guilty of something.

She was probably really bummed (and a little nervous) to tell you no.

  7. She said she would check with her supervisor about any discounts available, and get back to me. Below is the response, with names removed to protect the guilty.

What is she guilty of, Jack?

Please remeber these folks are just doing their jobs; they have no say in company policy.

  8. I thought Monkeyman, you know, the ATX employee, said he was here to help with program problems, well here is a program problem and where is he? Oh, I found him...he's on another thread being proud of the staff again.

After typing my reply to Joan, and submitting, I saw this post. I didn't refresh the site before doing so, and missed it.

Sheesh, Mr.Duxbury, give me a few minutes. I replied to Joan before shutting my machine down and going to bed. What else do you want? I have other things to do at this hour. Do you demand answers within 30 minutes of every "unofficial" website you visit?

It's after 11 PM EST, and I have a young family and household to attend to (one that is to be extended by the weekend :) ).

I have hundreds of reasons to be proud of "the staff". You and others know this firsthand.

I am confused by the offensive nature of your post, and apologize if I have ever made you angry in any way.

  9. "Shades of ATX all over again"

"Although, I haven't decided whether to renew ATX yet and am still evaluating other software"

    Hello Lion,

Although I appreciate and empathize with your frustration about the ATX community being closed,

I am having difficulty relating it to a technical difficulties you experienced with the QF board.

  10. Hello Everyone,

It made me very happy to see so many understanding posts on this issue:

i.e. - not blaming or taking out anger on the folks on the phone.

It makes me very proud to be associated with all of you.

The reps try very hard to make everyone happy, and have limited control over decisions made.

However, they are in direct contact with the executive team and your feedback is passed along.

The original post is a result of either:

    a) A mistake on the rep's part

    B) A mis-communication, or

    c) An exaggeration

I would like to further confirm erc's post by stating that ATX has NOTHING to do with this site. Nothing.

  11. I guess I was totally wrong about who this was. I had inferred an emotion in the message that wasn't there. It should be me who is appologising to him.

Thank you, Idiot (I don't like your posting name, I doubt you are an "idiot") I do have some animosity towards those who lie and bully on message boards, but and only here to help.

Eli, she is 5, beautiful, and NO BOYS! <_<
