Client has a large farming NOL, now it shows AMT due.  Is this correct?  Are there any preference items I might be missing?

parents claimed child in 2022.  In 2023, child is claiming himself.  Under the state tab to mark resident or not, and county, I can't get the dependent to say Single.  I deleted the MO return and reopened it, and it still says dependent.  I had this also happen when a husband died and I re-entered the wife as the filer.  MO said, again, she was a dependent.  No matter how many times I checked and unchecked the X box saying if dependent on the main info screen. 

So, I've had to delete the whole return and reenter all the info from w-2's. 

Anyone from MO having this issue,too??

trying to figure out poverty level.  The charts I find for 400% poverty for 2023 for 2 people is $78880.  the way 8962 figures it , the poverty level for two people is $$73240  Why is there such a difference?

Is there a box to check somewhere in the ATX program to say that the partnership has no foriegn activity? 

Have tried several times to get this done, and keep running into roadblocks.  Can I call and get it renewed.  What happens if I can't get it done til January 2?

Taypayer filed an extension to file her 2020 tax return, and it was filed in October of 2021.  Now we need to amend.  When is the deadline for this 2020 return.

Husband and wife both did a gift.  I marked the box that it was a split gift.  Do I have to file a 709 for husband and wife separately and do the same spouse gift consent on both?  Neither gave any other gifts over $16000

 it happens here often.  It saves on sales tax    Farmer sells calves or grain and the money goes direct to the vehicle dealer in exchange for a farm truck. There's paper work for dept of revenue, but it works out there is no sales tax 

Farmers buy trucks or pickups with grain or calves sold.  Proceeds go directly to the dealer.  I know I've read different articles on this, but, of course, can't find them now for reference.

I want to do a direct debit for payment of 2022 taxes.  I have figured the interest and penalty and want to pay this , too 

It looks like the Feds will take the extra amount, but MO says you can't pay more than what the MO1040 says it owes.  How can I fix, or how should I pay the penalty and interest.
