  1. Cathy, I live in Brunswick GA so just let me tell you that I think the weather is supposed to be great--it's been sorta cool today but i think it's supposed to be in the mid seventies later this week
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=duOoqDu2H70 I love this one too!
  3. :D Oh Mike--I love that!!! I'm going to send it to everyone I know--do you think my clients would be offended? I'm the one who originally started this thread, and I must tell you that the client that had gotten the notice that needed to be replied to immediately did drop by my office yesterday evening to tell me that he had called the IRS himself and that the notice was a mistake on their part so he didn't need me to do anything. I praised him greatly for taking some initiative on his on. And then, a church (which is not even my church but I have been helping, came by to tell me today that they had found someone else who was going to do their books for them, but they didn't want to hurt my feelings. I almost kissed that guy! Now that I work fulltime I just don't have the time for pain in the you know whats! So, things are looking up! We will survive!
  4. I don't know how much more I can take before I tell some unsuspecting person off! I went back to work fulltime on Jan 2, because I could never get any medical insurance. So, last year I took on several new clients because I thought I was going to be in business on my own. Now I can't take any vacation days from my "real" job because I haven't been there six months yet. I try to give everyone a good rate and personal attention, but I am about to decide it will cost more in the looney bin than I am making doing taxes. Apparently, all of my clients think I just sit by the phone all day waiting for them to call and ask some stupid question. If they would take the time to read the letter they are provided with they could answer most of them by themselves. And another thing--I don't care about the Stimulus payment right now--I tell them to go to IRS.Gov and read it for themselves. I don't have time to talk to them on the phone. And then to top it off, I just got a call from one of my clients--he received a notice a couple of weeks ago, but didn't bother with reading it until today, and it's supposed to be replied to by tomorrow--so when can he drop it off--when I told him how busy I was and how that was pretty much impossible at the moment, he had the nerve to laugh and say he'd be by my tax office about 5:30! Okay--I just needed to vent to people who would understand--and by the way, how can people complicate their tax situations so much?--doesn't anybody have a normal return anymore?????? Thanks for letting me blow off steam-- Silverbelle
  5. I am so glad the ATX support site is back up, because that's where I found out about this site. Wish I had known about it sooner! After what they did last year by just yanking the site with no warning and no explanation, I don't trust them at all anymore. Who's to say they won't do the same thing again? I mean, really, would it have hurt them to let us know what was going to happen? There was no excuse for not letting us know ahead of time. So glad to find this site--I just wish I had found it before. Silverbelle
