Ask if they have qualified as a 501c3 organization. Not qualified, not deductible....and possibly a little fraudulent. But that's their problem....not yours.

Hi gang- I'm in the market for a new computer and wanted to see if anyone out there would like to rave about a new computer or tell me your "must-haves" to help me think about what I might want. I'm interested in a desk top as I find it much easier to stay focused when I stay put. Also, how do I handle getting previous years ATX data (client data) onto my new computer? I assume I can re-install the ATX software and copy over client data by using an external hard drive....but I'm not sure. Any help? Thanks, Julie

Hi gang- I just found out about this "unofficial" ATX forum....I didn't know about it and went through withdrawls when ATX shut theirs down. Anyway, since everyone is "hanging out" in this forum I'll try this here as I got no response on the "official" forum. I live in Colorado and want to be able to e-file in CA and Ny since it seems like clients always need these states. Is there a way to apply with the states to e-file even if you don't live there?
