Larry Posted January 25, 2013 Report Share Posted January 25, 2013 I am doing my first return and my client has 5 children and the software is saying the youngest child is not eligible for the CTC. The box for CTC is not checked and it cant be changed. The child is 4 years old and lived in the home 12 months, it should be eligible. Anyone else run into this? Terry D EA Posted January 25, 2013 Report Share Posted January 25, 2013 Make sure you are running the latest version. Problems with the CTC were addressed in update .11. You can also try to click on the green button in the task bar to force the program to recalculate. If that doesn't work, give me the details and I will get it to Doug for his team to take a look at.
