Software Changes:

Appointment Scheduler / Office Manager

· One Click auto client import module which is launched from TRX Pro

· Calendar/Appointment Scheduler

o Communicates with TRX Pro client database to automatically import user information

o Compact and uncluttered interface allows user to quickly create appointments via graphical interface

o Comparable to the calendar incorporated into the default email program of a leading operating system.

· Time Clock

o Virtual time card allows user to make record of time-in/lunch/break/etc.

o User may print time sheet at end of pay cycle

· E-Mail/SMS Service

o Embedded mail system allows user to e-mail appointment reminders to client from within AS.

o User may use e-mail address entered in client’s tax return (imported automatically from program) or enter alternate e-mail address.

o Responses may be redirected to user’s primary e-mail account.

o User may also send reminders to clients via SMS (Text Messaging)

Electronic File Cabinet

· Electronic File Cabinet now operates at 100% functionality.

· User may now scan documents directly into the programs Electronic File Cabinet.

(User must own a functional scanner)

· User has the option to “Print to the Electronic File Cabinet”. This will allow the user to save a copy of a tax return in .PDF format.

· Electronic File Cabinet interface is separated by User/Tax System/Client Name.

Revised Interview Mode

· Interview mode can be used to quickly create Form 1040-EZ/Form 1040A without needing to enter the main input portion of the program.

· Added the ability to calculate education expenses for both primary taxpayer and dependents.

· Added the ability to input preparer information in interview mode.

· Added the ability to input account information for refund/payment purposes.

· Added Boolean indicator for the following items:

o Interest

o Unemployment income

o Alimony paid/received

o Self-Employed income

o Capital gains

o Retirement income

o Rental/royalty income

o Social Security income

o Home expenses

o If it has been indicated that the taxpayer has received any of the above, appropriate forms will be added to the return.

1065/1120/1120S Modules

· 1065 Module

o Allows user to prepare and file electronically Form 1065 (U.S. Return of Partnership Income

o Will contain all MeF-compliant forms and schedules associated with the filing of Form 1065.

· 1120 Module

o Allows user to prepare and file electronically Form 1120

o Will contain all MeF-compliant forms and schedules associated with the filing of Form 1120.

· 1120S Module

o Allows user to prepare and file electronically Form 1120S

o Will contain all MeF-compliant forms and schedules associated with the filing of Form 1120. .

· Form 1120-H

o Program will contain Form 1120-H (U.S. Income Tax Return for Homeowners Association).

o Form 1120-H is not MeF compliant; Form 1120-H must be paper-filed.

Revised Depreciation/Vehicle Expense Worksheet

· Formerly, each asset was assigned its own depreciation/VEW, which in turn was linked to Form 4562. This could be cumbersome if multiple assets were to be depreciated.

· Now, all asset information will be entered in one of two menus, depending on the type of asset.

· Depreciation

o Depreciation Information is now entered in the “Asset Depreciation Summary” found on Form 4562.

o “Asset Depreciation Summary” is in grid format; information on multiple asset depreciation for the same business may be entered in the same menu.

o Depreciation will calculate automatically, and will be carried from Form 4562 to the appropriate parent form.

· Vehicle Expense Worksheet

o Vehicle information now entered in “New Vehicle Depreciation” menu on Form 4562.

o Based on inputs made, program will automatically calculate actual expenses or the standard mileage rate, based on what would be more beneficial to the taxpayer.

o Vehicle expenses will calculate automatically, and will be carried from Form 4562 to the appropriate parent form.

o Inputs are made in grid format.

WOW! What a great tax season we had this year thanks to you our valued customer.

We are currently reviewing every aspect of the 2011/2012 tax season we just completed to be able to bring you an even better tax season next year. We have currently been adding a few new elements 2012/2013 tax season to our customer experience to ensure we continue to give you great service. Here are a few things we are doing thus far:

1. Increased our Quality Assurance staff and added a new Quality Assurance Manager. These newly increased staff will be monitoring our support calls, sales calls, chat support and customer call in’s.

2. We have hired a new Head Master Tax Specialist with 15 years’ experience at H&R Block to ensure that as the new testing requirements from the IRS come into play we can prepare you for each test. She will come on board May 1st, 2012 to work not only with our tax analysts and Enrolled Agents, but to begin a newsletter to you monthly on all tax law changes, IRS requirements, and all other industry news.

3. We have hired for a newly created position Technical / Tax Support Director with 15 years’ experience in the US Army; he knows how crucial quick accurate support information is.

4. We will be extending our hours of operation during the first 3 weeks of tax season to ensure our Pacific Coast customers have support when they need it. During these first 3 weeks we will be open from 8:00 am until 12:00 am central standard time Monday through Saturday and on Sunday from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. After the first 3 weeks our support hours will be Monday through Saturday 8:00 am until 10:00 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm through March 1st. From March 1st until the last week of tax filing season we will be open from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm Monday through Friday and on Saturday from 8:00 am until 2:00 pm, closed Sunday. We will be open the final week of tax season from 8:00 am until 12:00 am central standard time Monday through Saturday and on Sunday from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.

I really feel sorry for the new employees Doug hired! They probably left a decent paying job for this gig, only to find out that they may soon hit the unemployment line! It is a shame how many lives TRX ruined!
