Dan
How do you follow the IRS guidelines and have the rest of the form blank except the taxpayer's name, identification number and box A checked. I don't want to override the information. How are others taking care of this problem?
Dan
In the "IRS provides penalty relief to farmers and fishermen," it says concerning Form 2210-F that the name and identifying number should be entered at the top of the form, the waiver box (Part 1, Box A) should be checked, and the rest of the form should be left blank. How do you that (the rest of the form should be left blank) in the ATX program so that you can efile the return? I have other data on the form. It is not blank. kcjenkins
Override is the only way.
Dan
KC If you override the information on the form, are you able to efile it with no problem? When I do a check of the return, I get the red error message "Box A should only be checked when a penalty is calculated."
Dan
Thanks to ATX programers. I believe they fixed the problem. When I checked form 2210-F today everything was blank except the name, identification number and box A in Part 1. Even the override when I did a restore was blank. kcjenkins
Good, I knew they were working on fixing that.
neilbrink
Does the 2210-F need to be filed now separately from the return or just included when the return is completed and filed?
neilbrink
Never mind, I read the release. "The Form 2210-F is to be attached to the return."
