My client received the letter asking her to verify her ID. She did on May 18, and the return is still showing 'being processed'. Does anyone know how long it might take? Guest Taxed Posted July 22, 2013 Report Share Posted July 22, 2013 Last year I had one HH client that went through this process and it took close to 4 weeks plus a phone call to get the refund and it was a paper check not a direct deposit. Also the state required her to fax a copy of the Fed return and state issued photo ID. The state did a direct deposit. Then for this year we had to use the ID theft PIN. No problem this year.
