JohnH Posted September 8, 2013 Report Posted September 8, 2013 My daughter, who works in an industry directly affected by the Affordable Healthcare Act, told me about this set of animated explanations concerning the legislation. Overall, it's a fairly balanced presentation and probably something I'll send to clients who inquire about it. Jack from Ohio Posted September 8, 2013 Report Posted September 8, 2013 My daughter, who works in an industry directly affected by the Affordable Healthcare Act, told me about this set of animated explanations concerning the legislation. Your mileage may vary...http://kff.org/health-reform/video/health-reform-hits-main-street/http://kff.org/health-reform/video/youtoons-obamacare-video/ Sorry, I entirely disagree. Far too much pertinent information left out. The first video is WAY TOO OLD to be believed at all. Much political spin. "After all, somebody has to pay for it." Quote
JohnH Posted September 8, 2013 Author Report Posted September 8, 2013 Maybe, maybe not. It's more accurate than much of the discussion we've had on this forum from both side about the issue. Insofar as the videos are concerned, they're painting with a pretty broad brush. One person's pertinent info is another's talking point (or choke point). But the fact is, somebody does have to pay for it. We won't turn people way from emergency rooms even if they can't pay. So somebody is already paying for it. Quote
Guest Taxed Posted September 9, 2013 Report Posted September 9, 2013 >>> But the fact is, somebody does have to pay for it. We won't turn people way from emergency rooms even if they can't pay. So somebody is already paying for it. That was precisely the reason according to Gov. Mitt Romney ( R ). For the MA Romneycare model. And I can still remember him quoting the Heritage Foundation's position on individual mandate. He did not seek reelection but this is etched in stone in the history of our state. Quote
